Orphan

A couple adopts a 9-year-old girl named Esther, who exhibits disturbing behavior including knowledge of sex beyond her age, violent tendencies, and causing the death of the head of the orphanage, leading the mother to become increasingly convinced of Esthers abnormality while the father remains doubtful until it is revealed that Esther is actually a 33-year-old woman named Leena Klammer, with a history of violence, and a deadly confrontation ensues, resulting in Leenas death but the survival of the mother and her daughter who are met by the police. Orphan is written by David Leslie Johnson Mcgoldrick and Alex Mace and it is directed by Jaume Collet-serra. Warner Bros. Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Orphan was released on 13th August 2009 and takes a screen time of 123 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Orphan was made on a budget of $20 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $77 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by David Leslie Johnson.
