Helena, a woman living on a spaceship, learns about her parents sacrifice for her and connects with a man named Alex, who helps her escape from a research compound on Earth where humans are being experimented on; they are pursued by Hugo but ultimately reunite with Helenas parents, discover that the subjects on the other spaceships are clones, and Helena becomes pregnant, leading to an agreement to return to Orbiter 9 with Alex; years later, a young woman emerges from the spaceship, suggesting the success of their mission.
