A modern-day musical about a busker and an immigrant and their eventful week in Dublin, as they write, rehearse and record songs that tell their love story. Summit Entertainment in association with Samson Films, B rd Scann n na h ireann/Irish Film Board and RT. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Martina Niland. The movie is written and directed by John Carney. Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Once was released on 23rd March 2007 and takes a screen time of 86 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Once was made on a budget of $0 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $20 million. Cinematography was done by Tim Fleming and editing by Paul Mullen. The music was composed by Academy Award Oscar winner Marketa Irglova along with Glen Hansard, Mark Ta Irglov and Interference. At the 2008 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song. At the 2007 Sundance Film Festival It also won an award for World Cinema - Dramatic.
