After being kidnapped and imprisoned for fifteen years, Oh Dae-Su is released, only to find that he must find his captor in five days. Oldboy is a 2003 Korean Korean-language Action Drama film featuring Choi Min-sik, Yoo Ji-tae and Kang Hye-jung. The movie is inspired from Old Boy by Garon Tsuchiya Nobuaki Minegishi. Show East was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Lim Seung-yong. The movie is directed by Park Chan-wook. Show East acquired the distribution rights for the film. Oldboy was released on 14th October 2004 and takes a screen time of 120 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Oldboy was made on a budget of $3 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $15 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Hwang Jo-yun, Lim Jun-hyung and Park Chan-wook. Cinematography was done by Chung Chung-hoon and editing by Kim Sang-bum. The music was composed by Cho Young-wuk.
