A UK analyst leaked a memo revealing a joint US and UK operation to spy on UN diplomats in order to influence a resolution supporting the invasion of Iraq, leading to her arrest and charges. Official Secrets is a 2019 English-language Biography Drama movie starring Keira Knightley, Matt Smith, Matthew Goode, Rhys Ifans, Adam Bakri, Ralph Fiennes and Trevor Walton. The movie is inspired from The Spy Who Tried to Stop a War by Marcia & Thomas Mitchell. Clear Pictures Entertainment in association with Raindog Films, The Gordon Company, Ingenious Media and Screen Yorkshire. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ged Doherty, Elizabeth Fowler and Melissa Shiyu Zuo. The film is written and directed by Gavin Hood. Entertainment One acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Official Secrets was released on 26th December 2019 and takes a screen time of 112 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $10 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Gregory Bernstein, Sara Bernstein and Gavin Hood. Cinematography was done by Florian Hoffmeister and editing by Megan Gill. The music was composed by Paul Hepker along with Mark Kilian.
