A fake Fabergé egg and a fellow agent s death lead James Bond to uncover an international jewel-smuggling operation, headed by the mysterious Octopussy, being used to disguise a nuclear attack on N.A.T.O. forces. Octopussy is a 1983 English-language Action Adventure film starring Roger Moore, Maud Adams, Louis Jourdan, Kristina Wayborn, Kabir Bedi, Steven Berkoff and Bunny Seaman. The movie is based on James Bond by Ian Fleming. Eon Productions in association with United Artists. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Albert R. Broccoli. Octopussy is written by Michael J. Wilson, George Macdonald Fraser, Richard Maibaum, Michael G. Wilson and Ian Fleming and it is directed by John Glen. United International Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Octopussy was released on 7th June 1983 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Octopussy was made on a budget of $27 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $67 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by George MacDonald Fraser, Richard Maibaum and Michael G. Wilson. Cinematography was done by Alan Hume and editing by Peter Davies and Henry Richardson. The music was composed by John Barry.
