The movie is inspired from October Sky by Homer Hickam. October Sky was Produced by Charles Gordon and Larry J. Franco. The movie is directed by Joe Johnston. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. October Sky was released on 19th February 1999 and takes a screen time of 107 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office.
