Noor Jahaan depicts a cross-class love story that faces opposition from Jahaans mother, leading the couple to consider suicide to be together. Noor Jahaan is a 2018 Bengali-language Family Drama motion picture featuring Adrit Roy, Puja Cherry, Aparajita Adhya, Shivani Rana, Puja Cherry Roy, Suvajit Das and Tulika Basu. The movie is inspired from Sairat by Nagraj Manjule. Raj Chakraborty Productions in association with SVF Entertainment and Jaaz Multimedia. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vinayak Joshi, Abdul Aziz, Raj Chakraborty and Shrikant Mohta. Noor Jahaan is written by Kate Boutilier and Abhimanyu Mukherjee and it is directed by Abhimanyu Mukherjee. SVF Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Noor Jahaan was released on 16th February 2018. Noor Jahaan was made on a budget of ₹60 lakh and at the box office it grossed only ₹39 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by Abhimanyu Mukherjee. Cinematography was done by Souvik Basu and editing by Md. Kalam. The music was composed by Rana Jung Bahadur along with Savvy Gupta.
