Newsies

A struggling newspaper hawker in New York City becomes enamored with a woman from the Jacobs family and leads a strike against a business rival, resulting in his sentencing to rehabilitation in the Refuge, but he breaks his deal with Pulitzer to save the Jacobs childrens lives and exposes mistreatment of children, leading to a successful strike. Newsies is a 1992 American English-language Drama Family motion picture featuring Christian Bale, Bill Pullman, Ann-margret, Robert Duvall, David Moscow, Luke Edwards and Devon Reeves. Walt Disney Pictures was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Michael Finnell. Newsies is written by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White and it is directed by Kenny Ortega. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Newsies was released on 10th April 1992 and takes a screen time of 121 minutes. Newsies was made on a budget of $15 million and at the box office it grossed only $2 million. Cinematography was done by Andrew Laszlo and editing by William H. Reynolds. The music was composed by Alan Menken along with J. A. C. Redford.
