A young Muslim man is wrongly arrested by the FBI, and in order to clear their names, agrees to spy on his former college friend who is planning acts of terrorism as revenge for being wrongly detained after 911, but with the help of others, they are able to prevent the attack, although it results in the deaths of his former love interest and his friend. New York is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language Crime Drama film featuring John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Katrina Kaif, Irrfan Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mirza Ali Quli and R.a. Johnson. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra and Sri Rao. New York is written by Aditya Chopra and Sandeep Srivastava and it is directed by Kabir Khan. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. New York was released on 26th June 2009 and takes a screen time of 151 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. New York was made on a budget of ₹28 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹45 crore. Cinematography was done by Aseem Mishra and editing by Rameshwar S Bhagat. The music was composed by Pritam Chakraborty along with Pankaj Awasthi and Julius Packiam.
