A young African-American man in Chicago named Bigger Thomas gets caught in a web of crime and tragedy after accidentally killing his friends girlfriend, leading to a series of events that ultimately end in his own demise. Native Son is a 2019 American English-language Drama motion picture featuring Ashton Sanders, Margaret Qualley, Nick Robinson, Kiki Layne, Bill Camp, Sanaa Lathan and Shauna Oldaker. The movie is inspired from Native Son by Richard Wright. Native Son was Produced by Matthew Perniciaro and Michael Sherman. The movie is directed by Rashid Johnson. HBO Films acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Native Son was released on 6th April 2019 and takes a screen time of 104 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $1 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Suzan-Lori Parks. Cinematography was done by Matthew Libatique and editing by Brad Turner. The music was composed by Michael J. Stein along with Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein.
