A historian, cryptographer, and treasure hunter named Benjamin Franklin Gates tries to find hidden treasure in America by solving clues hidden within the Declaration of Independence, while being pursued by criminals and helped by an archivist. Walt Disney Pictures in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Junction Entertainment and Saturn Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jerry Bruckheimer and Jon Turteltaub. National Treasure is written by Jim Kouf, Cormac Wibberley, Marianne Wibberley, Oren Aviv and Charles Segars and it is directed by Jon Turteltaub. Buena Vista Pictures Distribution acquired the distribution rights for the film. National Treasure was released on 9th December 2004 and takes a screen time of 131 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. National Treasure was made on a budget of $100 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $347 million.
