A woman named Isabel struggles to juggle her responsibilities on the family farm and take care of her children while her husband is away at war, and with the help of Nanny McPhee, they overcome various challenges including dealing with troublesome wealthy relatives, stopping Isabels brother-in-law from selling the farm, and dealing with the news of their fathers supposed death. Ultimately, they successfully defuse a bomb and are happily reunited as a family.
