Shalom Studios was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh and Kalpathi S. Suresh. The movie is written and directed by Prabhu Solomon. Red Giant Movies acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Mynaa was released on 5th November 2010 and takes a screen time of 146 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Mynaa was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹30 crore. Cinematography was done by M. Sukumar and editing by LVK Dass. The music was composed by D. Imman. At the 2011 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Film. At the 2011 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Supporting Actor (Thambi Ramayya).
