An entertaining dramedy film Moxie revolves around a teen who is fed up with the sexism and toxic status quo at her high school. She decides to publish a zine anonymously taking inspiration from her mother's rebellious past calling out the sexism that sparks a revolution. The film stars Hadley Robinson, Josephine Langford, Lauren Tsai, and Patrick Schwarzenegger. Principal photography began in October 2019 in Los Angeles. The screenplay was written by Tamara Chestna and Dylan Meyer and it was directed by Amy Poehler. The film was produced by Amy Poehler, Morgan Sackett, and Kim Lessing and was distributed by Netflix. The music was composed by Mac McCaughan. Adept cinematography by Tom Magill and clear-cut editing by Julie Monroe make it a watchable movie. The film was released on March 3, 2021, and occupies screentime 111 minutes. A PG-13 certificate for the movie was provided by the MPAA.
