Motherhood is a 2009 American English-language Comedy Drama motion picture starring Uma Thurman, Anthony Edwards, Minnie Driver, David Schallipp, Matthew Schallipp, Daisy Tahan and Cecily Craig. Granite House Inc. in association with High Noon Entertainment, SAGE PRODUCTIONS and INC. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jana Edelbaum, Rachel Cohen, Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon. The motion picture is written and directed by Katherine Dieckmann. Freestyle Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Motherhood was released on 7th January 2010 and takes a screen time of 90 minutes. Motherhood was made on a budget of $10 million and at the box office it grossed only $0 million. Cinematography was done by Nancy Schreiber and editing by Michael R. Miller. The music was composed by Joe Henry.

Sadly, Motherhood doesnt recognize that Thurmans character deals in leaden pith, not retweetable bon mots, and Dieckmann fails to notice that Thurman doesnt have the comic chops for the materialshe comes off more like a self pitying loser than a witty, put upon everywoman. ( Read More )
