Monster Hunt

A pregnant human mayor and a monster hunter team up to protect the unborn child of the exiled Monster Queen from villains in both the human and monster worlds. Monster Hunt is a 2015 Mandarin-language Animation Action motion picture starring Bai Baihe, Jing Boran, Wu Jiang, Elaine Jin, Wallace Chung, Eric Tsang and Bossi Skorn. The movie is inspired from Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio by Pu Songling. Dream Sky Entertainment in association with Beijing Digital Impression Media, Tencent Video, Heyi Pictures, Beijing Union Pictures, Zhejiang Xinghe Culture Agency, Zhejiang Sanle Pictures, Zhejiang Film and TV, EDKO and Guanxing Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bill Kong, Alan Yuen, Yee Chung-man and Doris Tse. Monster Hunt is written by Alan Yuen and directed by Raman Hui. China Film Group Corporation acquired the distribution rights for the film. Monster Hunt was released on 23rd July 2015 and takes a screen time of 118 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Monster Hunt was made on a budget of $56 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $385 million. Cinematography was done by Anthony Pun and editing by Ka-Fai Cheung. The music was composed by Leon Ko.
