Drama Romance Thriller
A young woman in Southern India deals with financial struggles, a romantic encounter with a stranger, and the uncovering of a man impersonating her deceased classmate while facing pressure from a construction company. Mod is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language Drama Romance film starring Ayesha Takia, Rannvijay Singh, Raghubir Yadav, Raghuvir Yadav, Tanvi Azmi, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and Sharat Chowdhary. The movie is inspired from Keeping Watch by Cheng Fen-fen. Mod was Produced by Elahe Hiptoola, Nagesh Kukunoor and Sujit Kumar Singh. The motion picture is written and directed by Nagesh Kukunoor. Kukunoor Movies acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Mod was released on 14th October 2011. Mod was made on a budget of ₹5 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹46 lakh. Cinematography was done by Chirantan Das and editing by Sanjib Datta. The music was composed by Tapas Relia.

The director has an eye for good looking locations, but lately hes not had much luck with his movies. On that scale, Mod, inspired by Taiwanese film Keeping Watch, is better than his previous disastrous Tasveer, but not by much. ( Read More )
