Mission Kashmir

A police officer adopts the son and sole survivor of a family he has massacred while pursuing a terrorist. After some time the foster son finds out what the stepfather did. Vinod Chopra Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Vir Chopra and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Mission Kashmir is written by Vikram Chandra, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Abhijit Joshi, Suketu Mehta, Atul Tiwari and Abhijat Joshi and it is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Vinod Chopra Productions acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Mission Kashmir was released on 27th October 2000 and takes a screen time of 161 mins. Mission Kashmir was made on a budget of ₹20 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹22 crore. Cinematography was done by Binod Pradhan and editing by Rajkumar Hirani. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Pradeep Sarkar along with Shankar Mahadevan, Loy Mendonsa, Ehsaan Noorani and Shankar-ehsaan-loy. At the 2001 IIFA Awards It won an award for Best Cinematography.
