Miss India

An entertaining drama film Miss India is the story of Samyuktha who braves criticism from her family when she dreams to start her own business. How she overcomes the odds and fights her way out to achieve her dreams forms the crux of the story. The film stars Keerthy Suresh, Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, and Nadhiya in the lead roles along with Naveen Chandra, Pujita Ponnada, and V.K. Naresh in supporting roles. The screenplay was written by Tharun Kumar and Narendra Nath and it was directed by Narendra Nath. The film was produced by Mahesh S Koneru for East Coast Productions and was distributed by Netflix. Interestingly Keerthy Suresh has multiple looks in the film hence she took 50 screen tests and also had shed a few kilos to get her look in the film right. The music was composed by S. Thaman and the lyrics were written by Kalyan Chakravarthi. Adept cinematography by Dani Sanchez-Lopez and Sujith Vaassudev and clear cut editing by Tammiraju makes it a watchable movie. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this movie which was scheduled to release on 17 April 2020 was released on Netflix on 4 November 2020 and occupies a screentime of 136 minutes.
