Mirzya is a tragic story of two childhood friends who reunite and fall in love, but face opposition from Suchitras father and fiancé which leads to their ultimate demise. Mirzya is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language Drama Musical film featuring Harshvardhan Kapoor, Saiyami Kher, Anuj Choudhry, Art Malik, K. K. Raina, Om Puri and Vikram Singh. The movie is based on Mirza Sahiban. Cinestaan Film Company in association with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Rohit Khattar, P. S. Bharathi and Rajiv Tandon. Mirzya is written by Gulzar Kalra and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. AA Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Mirzya was released on 6th October 2016. Mirzya was made on a budget of ₹63 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹7 crore. Cinematography was done by Pawel Dyllus and editing by P. S. Bharathi. The music was composed by IIFA Award winner Loy Mendonsa along with Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Shankar Ehsaan Loy.
