Melvilasam

The film depicts the court martial of a Dalit soldier accused of killing one officer and attempting to kill another, with the trial becoming a critical exploration of the truth and its implications for the army and society. Melvilasam is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language Drama Thriller movie featuring Suresh Gopi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Nizhalgal Ravi, Krishnakumar, Ashokan Ae, Krishna Kumar and R Parthiban. The movie is inspired from Melvilasom by Soorya Krishna Moorthy based on Court Martial a play by Swadesh Deepak. Mark Movies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Mohammed Salim and M. Rajendran. Melvilasam is written by Soorya Krishnamoorthy, M. Rajendran and Mohammed Saleem and it is directed by Madhav Ramadasan. Chithralaya Films Release acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Melvilasam was released on 29th April 2011 and takes a screen time of 105 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Soorya Krishna Moorthy. Cinematography was done by Anand Balakrishnan and editing by K. Srinivas. The music was composed by Samson Kottoor.
