Mela

A dwarf clown finds love with a tall woman in his village, but their marriage falls apart when she becomes infatuated with a motorcycle stuntsman, leading to tragic consequences. Mela is a 1980 Malayalam-language Drama film starring Raghu, Anjali Naidu, Mohan Elias, Mammootty, Sreenivasan, Joyce and Sumesh. Visal Movies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Prabhakaran, Saidu Muhammad and Vk Sidharthan. Mela is written by Sreedharan Champad and K. G. George and it is directed by K. G. George. Visal Movies acquired the distribution rights for the film. Mela was released on 5th December 1980 and takes a screen time of 150 minutes. Mela was made on a budget of ₹18 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹15 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by K. G. George and Sreedharan Champad. Cinematography was done by Ramachandra Babu and editing by Ravi. The music was composed by M. B. Sreenivasan.
