Meghnad Badh is a drama retelling the story of Meghnad, the son of Ravan seeking revenge against Lord Indra, falling in love with the daughter of Nagraj, and ultimately being defeated by Lord Ram. Meghnad Badh is a 1979 Indian Bengali-language History movie featuring Rani Mukerji, Vivek Oberoi, Mita Chatterjee, Arati Das, Anjali Debi, Samar Kumar and Sadhana Roychoudhury. Madras Talkies in association with Yash Raj Films. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Bobby Bedi, Yash Chopra, Mani Ratnam and Aditya Chopra. The movie is directed by Shaad Ali. Kaleidoscope Entertainment acquired the distribution rights for the film. The motion picture has a running time of 139 minutes. The screenplay for the movie was written by Mani Ratnam. Cinematography was done by Anil Mehta and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. The music was composed by A. R. Rahman.
