Mazha is a love story between Bhadra and her music teacher Sastrigal in a Tamil Brahmin village, which takes place in the surroundings of the famous Meenakshi Amman Temple in Tamil Nadu. Mazha is a 2000 Indian Malayalam-language Drama motion picture starring Biju Menon, Samyuktha Varma, Thilakan, Arun Lal, Urmila Unni, Jagathy Sreekumar and Devi Ajith. The movie is inspired from Nashtappetta Neelambari by Madhavikkutty. Millenium Cinema Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) G. Harikumar. Mazha is written by S. Kumar and Lenin Rajendran and it is directed by Lenin Rajendran. Murali Films acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Mazha was released on 1st January 2000. Cinematography was done by S. Kumar and editing by Beena Paul and B. Ajithkumar. The music was composed by Filmfare Award winner Raveendran along with Ravindran.
