A Brahmin youth becomes proficient in martial arts and discovers his royal lineage, leading him to liberate his motherland from foreign rule and ultimately marry a princess with the blessing of his former enemy. Mayura is a 1975 Indian Kannada-language Drama History motion picture starring Rajkumar, Manjula, K. S. Ashwath, Vajramuni, Srinath, Balkrishna and Joker Shyam. Mayura was Produced by T. P. Venugopal. Mayura is written by Devudu Narasimha Sastri and directed by Vijay. Ramesh Movies acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Mayura was released on 15th August 1975 and takes a screen time of 178 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Mayura was made on a budget of ₹40 lakh and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹3 crore. Cinematography was done by Annayya and Mallik and editing by Babu and Rajan. The music was composed by G. K. Venkatesh. At the 1976 South Filmfare Awards It won an award for Best Actor (Rajkumar).
