A medical student, Amarnath meets and falls in love with the daughter of a herbal medicine healer, Chanda while preparing for his exams in Darjeeling.. Mausam is a 1975 Indian Hindi-language Musical Romance motion picture featuring Sharmila Tagore, Sanjeev Kumar, Dina Pathak, Om Shivpuri, Satyen Kappu, C.s.dubey and Saif Ali Khan. The movie is based on The Judas Tree by A.J. Cronin kamleshwar aagami atit upnyas. Mausam was Produced by P. Mallikharjuna Rao. Mausam is written by Gulzar Kalra, Bhushan Banmali and Kamleshwar Prasad Saxena and it is directed by Gulzar Kalra. Mausam was released on 29th December 1975 and takes a screen time of 156 minutes. Mausam was made on a budget of ₹49 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹31 crore. Cinematography was done by K. Vaikunth and editing by Waman B. Bhosle and Gurudutt Shirali. The music was composed by Madan Mohan Kohli along with Madan Mohan and Salil Chowdhury. At the 1976 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Actress (Sharmila Tagore).
