Martian Child is a 2007 American English-language Comedy Drama movie starring John Cusack, Bobby Coleman, Amanda Peet, Sophie Okonedo, Oliver Platt, Joan Cusack and Vince Yoshida. The movie is based on The Martian Child by David Gerrold. The film stars John Cusack as a writer who adopts a strange young boy who believes himself to be from Mars. Flower Films in association with MERADIN Zweite Productions. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ed Elbert, Drew Barrymore, David Kirschner, Toby Emmerich and Nancy Juvonen. Martian Child is written by Seth Bass, Jonathan Tolins and David Gerrold and it is directed by Menno Meyjes. New Line Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the film. Martian Child was released on 2nd November 2007 and takes a screen time of 106 minutes. Martian Child was made on a budget of $27 million and at the box office it grossed only $9 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Seth E. Bass & Jonathan Tolins. Cinematography was done by Robert D. Yeoman and editing by Bruce Green. The music was composed by Aaron Zigman.
