Fourteen-year-old Maria Antonia is sent to France to marry the Dauphin, struggles at the Versailles court amidst gossip and financial crises, and ultimately faces the turmoil of the French Revolution after becoming queen. Marie Antoinette is a 2006 English-language Biography Drama film featuring Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Judy Davis, Rip Torn, Rose Byrne, Asia Argento and Isabelle Montoya. The movie is inspired from Marie Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser. Pricel in association with Tohokushinsha Film Corporation, American Zoetrope and Path. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Ross Katz and Sofia Coppola. The film is written and directed by Sofia Coppola. Sony Pictures Releasing acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The motion picture has a running time of 123 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Marie Antoinette was made on a budget of $40 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $60 million. Cinematography was done by Lance Acord and editing by Sarah Flack. The music was composed by Dustin O halloran. At the 2007 Oscar Awards It won an award for Best Achievement in Costume Design.
