Mardaani

A Crime Branch inspector leads an undercover operation to capture a pimp, rescues his mistress, uncovers a child trafficking and drug cartel led by a kingpin, teams up with a car-dealer to apprehend the kingpin, saves an orphan girl from abuse, confronts the kingpin at a party, and delivers justice with the help of the girls he had abused. Mardaani is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama motion picture starring Rani Mukerji, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jisshu Sengupta, Saanand Verma, Priyanka Sharma, Mona Ambegaonkar and Scott Milburn. Yash Raj Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Aditya Chopra. Mardaani is written by Gopi Puthran and Vibha Singh and it is directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Yash Raj Films acquired the distribution rights for the film. Mardaani was released on 21st August 2014 and takes a screen time of 111 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Mardaani was made on a budget of ₹21 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹35 crore. Cinematography was done by Artur Zurawski and editing by Sanjib Datta. The music was composed by Sulaiman Merchant along with Salim Sulaiman and Julius Packiam.
