Mard

Mard is a film about a valiant Indian man and his wife who defend their land from British plunderers, and whose son grows up to learn of his true lineage and fight against British oppression. Mard is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language Action Drama motion picture starring Amitabh Bachchan, Amrita Singh, Nirupa Roy, Dara Singh, Prem Chopra, Goga Kapoor and Saigal. Mard was Produced by Manmohan Desai, Anil Nagrath and Pammy Varma. Mard is written by Inder Raj Anand, Pushpa Raj Anand, Sohel Don, Anil Nagrath, Prayag Raj and K.k. Shukla and it is directed by Manmohan Desai. Mard was released on 8th November 1985 and takes a screen time of 175 minutes. Mard was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and it was a hit at box office gross of ₹2 crore. Cinematography was done by Peter Pereira and editing by Raju Kapadia and Mangal Mistry. The music was composed by National Award winner Anu Malik.
