Nandhini (Suhasini) works as a nurse in Madras, a sole breadwinner for a family of six siblings and unemployed parents. Though divorced, she feigns marital bliss to her family to save her ultra-conservative father the shock. After meeting an enthusiastic novelist, Nandhini edges towards a new start, but complications in her family stand in the way of her happiness.
