Manamagal

Mei Kandar runs an institution for underprivileged children, where a pregnant widow named Chandra gives birth to a boy and later faces challenges involving her estranged husband Bagavathar, who tries to seduce an accountant named Vijaya and plans to secretly marry a wealthy girl named Kumari, leading to a series of events that ultimately result in Kumari rejecting Bagavathar and marrying Sahasranamam. Manamagal is a 1951 Indian Tamil-language Drama film starring Lalitha, S. V. Sahasranamam, T. S. Balaiah, N. S. Krishnan, T. A. Mathuram, T.s. Balaiah and S.v. Sahasranamam. The movie is based on Suprabha by Munshi Paramu Pillai. N. S. K. Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) N. S. Krishnan. The movie is directed by N. S. Krishnan. Manamagal was released on 1st January 1951. The screenplay for the movie was written by M. Karunanidhi. Cinematography was done by G. Vittal Rao and editing by S. Panjabi.
