Mammo

A boy writes a book about his Pakistani aunt who was deported from India due to corruption, hoping to reunite with her 20 years later, highlighting the emotional aspects of immigration and political division. Mammo is a 1994 Indian Hindi-language Drama film featuring Farida Jalal, Rajit Kapoor, Surekha Sikri, Amit Phalke, Himani Shivpuri, Shri Vallabh Vyas and Ravi Jhankal. Mammo was Produced by National Film Development Corporation Of India. Mammo is written by Khalid Mohamed, Shama Zehra Zaidi, Javed Siddiqui, Khalid Mohammed and Shama Zaidi and it is directed by Shyam Benegal. NFDC acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Mammo was released on 8th June 1994 and takes a screen time of 130 minutes. Mammo was made on a budget of ₹15 lakh and at the box office it grossed only ₹1 lakh. Cinematography was done by Shyam Benegal and editing by Shyam Benegal. The music was composed by Vanraj Bhatia. At the 1995 National Film Awards It won an award for Best Feature Film. At the 1995 National Film Awards It also won an award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.
