Kaleidoscope Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Y. V. Rao. Malli Pelli is written by Balijepalli Lakshmikanta Kavi, Y.v. Rao, Kavitha Kalanidhi and Balijepalli Lakshmikantham Kavi and it is directed by Y.v. Rao and Y. V. Rao. Universal Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Malli Pelli was released on 1st January 1939 and takes a screen time of 187 minutes. Cinematography was done by Jiten Banerji. The music was composed by V. Ramachandra Rao.
