The movie depicts the life of Malcolm Little, who later becomes Malcolm X, as he experiences racial injustice, imprisonment, and ultimately, his assassination. Malcolm X is a 1992 American English-language Biography Drama film starring Denzel Washington, Angela Bassett, Albert Hall, Al Freeman Jr., Delroy Lindo, Spike Lee and Brad Jacobowitz. The movie is based on The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X Alex Haley. 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Marvin Worth and Spike Lee. The movie is directed by Spike Lee. Warner Bros. acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Malcolm X was released on 18th November 1992 and takes a screen time of 201 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Malcolm X was made on a budget of $35 million and it was a hit at box office gross of $48 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Arnold Perl and Spike Lee. Cinematography was done by Ernest Dickerson and editing by Barry Alexander Brown. The music was composed by Terence Blanchard.
