Makante Achchan is written by Samjad Narayanan and directed by V.m. Vinu and V. M. Vinu. Seven Arts Release acquired the distribution rights for the film. Makante Achchan was released on 15th February 2009 and takes a screen time of 140 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Makante Achchan was made on a budget of ₹2 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹13 crore. Cinematography was done by Manoj Pillai and editing by P. C. Mohanan. The music was composed by M. Jayachandran along with Ouseppachan.
