This is the story of a young witch, named Kiki who is now 13 years old. But she is still a little green and plenty headstrong, but also resourceful, imaginative, and determined. With her trusty wisp of a talking cat named Jiji by her side she s ready to take on the world, or at least the quaintly European seaside village she s chosen as her new home. The movie is inspired from Kiki s Delivery Service by Eiko Kadono. Studio Ghibli was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Hayao Miyazaki. The movie is directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Toei Company acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. Majo no takkyûbin was released on 29th July 1989 and takes a screen time of 103 minutes. The film made a box office gross of ₹430 crore. The screenplay for the movie was written by Hayao Miyazaki. Cinematography was done by Shigeo Sugimura and editing by Takeshi Seyama. The music was composed by Joe Hisaishi.
