Main Azaad Hoon

A journalist writes a letter posing as someone named Azaad, which creates a nationwide hero and potential national leader, but the vaudevillian later discovers he has been used and records a message urging others to embrace the spirit of Azaad before sacrificing himself for the nation. Main Azaad Hoon is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language Drama film featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Arun Bakshi, Raja Bundela, Avtar Gill and Sunder Taneja. Cinevistaas Limited was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) H. A. Nadiadwala. Main Azaad Hoon is written by Javed Akhtar and directed by Tinnu Anand. Nadiadwala Sons acquired the distribution rights for the film. Main Azaad Hoon was released on 15th December 1989. The motion picture made a box office gross of ₹1 crore. The music was composed by Amar Biswas along with Utpal Biswas.
