A Mexican-American couple experiences bizarre symptoms and horrifying visions during their pregnancy, leading them to wonder if a curse or something more sinister is at play, but they are ultimately unable to find a conclusive answer and give birth to a healthy baby named Jose. Madres is a 2021 American English-language Horror film starring Tenoch Huerta, Elpidia Carrillo, Kerry Cahill, Ariana Guerra, Jennifer Patino, Britton Webb and Rachel Whitman Groves. Blumhouse Television was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Jason Blum, John Brister, Lisa Bruce, Marci Wiseman, Jeremy Gold, Matthew Myers, Roya Rastigar and Shanjay M. Sharma. Madres is written by Mario Miscione and Marcella Ochoa and it is directed by Ryan Zaragoza. Amazon Studios acquired the distribution rights for the film. Madres was released on 8th October 2021 and takes a screen time of 83 minutes. Cinematography was done by Felipe Vara de Rey and editing by Kristina Hamilton-Grobler. The music was composed by Isabelle Engman-bredvik along with Gerardo Garcia Jr.
