A wealthy and reckless young man from Mumbai is forced to attend a medical college in Coimbatore to control his behavior, but after an accident, he becomes close friends with four classmates who support and help him, leading to a series of conflicts involving a powerful politician and his son. Machi is a 2004 Tamil-language Drama Comedy motion picture starring Christian Bale, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Aitana S Nchez-gij N, John Sharian, Michael Ironside, Pasupathy Ramasaamy and Dushyanth Ramkumar. Castelao Productions in association with Canal+ and ICAA ICF. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Carlos Fern Ndez. Machi is written by Scott Kosar and directed by Brad Anderson. Paramount Classics acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Machi was released on 25th June 2004 and takes a screen time of 102 minutes. Machi was made on a budget of ₹30 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹2 crore. Cinematography was done by Xavi Gim nez and editing by Luis de la Madrid. The music was composed by Roque Ba Os.
