A talented comic book artist, Sathya, and his mother face various challenges including exploitation, forced relocation, and a corrupt minister, but his life takes a different turn after a suicide attempt when he begins hearing a mysterious voice and becomes a heroic figure in a tragic event, only to be revealed two years later that he survived but is now deaf with the same mysterious voice returning. Shanthi Talkies was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Arun Viswa. Maaveeran is written by Madonne Ashwin and Chandru A and it is directed by Madonne Ashwin. Red Giant Movies acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Maaveeran was released on 14th July 2023 and takes a screen time of 166 minutes. The Film was successful at box office. Maaveeran was made on a budget of ₹35 crore and it was a super hit at box office gross of ₹89 crore. Cinematography was done by Vidhu Ayyanna and editing by Philomin Raj. The music was composed by Bharath Sankar.
