A film depicts the life of musician Brian Wilson, showcasing his journey in the 1960s where he creates the acclaimed Pet Sounds album but faces mental health issues, and in the 1980s, when he meets and later marries Melinda Ledbetter, eventually completing his unfinished album, Smile. Love & Mercy is a 2014 American English-language Biography Drama motion picture starring John Cusack, Paul Dano, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Giamatti, Jake Abel, Kenny Wormald and Nikky Smedley. Battle Mountain Films in association with River Road Entertainment. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) John Wells, Bill Pohlad and Claire Rudnick Polstein. Love & Mercy is written by Oren Moverman, Michael A. Lerner and Brian Wilson and it is directed by Bill Pohlad. Lionsgate acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Love & Mercy was released on 11th June 2015 and takes a screen time of 121 minutes. and it received positive reviews from critics when it was released and became successful at box office. Love & Mercy was made on a budget of $10 million and it was a super hit at box office gross of $28 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Michael Alan Lerner and Oren Moverman.
