On Orcas Island in 1986, a former CIA agent named Lou joins forces with a mother named Hannah to recover her kidnapped daughter, only to discover that the kidnapper is Lous estranged son, resulting in a series of explosive events where Lou sacrifices herself while Hannah and her daughter ultimately escape the island, leaving behind a mysterious woman with a copper bracelet watching from afar. Lou is a 2022 American English-language Action Crime movie starring Allison Janney, Jurnee Smollett, Logan Marshall-green, Ridley Asha Bateman, Matt Craven, Jurnee Smollett-bell and Cheyenne Mabberley. Bad Robot Productions was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) J.j. Abrams, Jon Cohen and Hannah Minghella. Lou is written by Maggie Cohn and Jack Stanley and it is directed by Anna Foerster. Netflix acquired the distribution rights for the movie. Lou was released on 23rd September 2022 and takes a screen time of 109 minutes. The film made a box office gross of $1 million.
