A young man named Daryn, pushed by his father to attend Harvard, falls in love with a girl named Isabelle who has cancer, and together they embark on a year of adventures; however, their relationship faces disapproval from Daryns father, leading to their separation, and even though they later reconcile, tragedy strikes when Isabelles health deteriorates and she ultimately passes away, causing Daryn to find solace in pursuing a music career in New York and repairing his relationship with his father.
