The movie is based on Les Mis rables by Victor Hugo. Les Misérables was Produced by James Gorman and Sarah Radclyffe. Les Misérables is written by Victor Hugo and Rafael Yglesias and it is directed by Bille August. Columbia Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
