Laxmii

An interesting Horror comedy Laxmii is the story of a revenge-seeking ghost who possesses an innocent guy to attack the goons who are responsible for its death. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead role with Sharad Kelkar, Aryan Preet, Manu Rishi Chadha, Babu Antony, and Tusshar Kapoor in supporting roles. The Principal photography began on 22 April 2019 and was completed on 1 March 2020. The screenplay was written by Raghava Lawrence, Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, and Tasha Bhambra and it was directed by Raghava Lawrence. The film was produced by Tusshar Kapoor and Shabinaa Khan under their banner Tushar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment respectively along with Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios. The distribution rights were acquired by Disney+Hotstar. Initially, Amitabh Bachchan was considered for the role of transgender. The music was composed by Manj Musik, Chandan Saxena, and Sandeep Shirodkar. The background score was given by Amar Mohile. Adept cinematography by Vetri and clear cut editing by Akiv Ali makes it a watchable movie. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this movie which was scheduled to release in theatres on 22 May 2020 was released on Disney+Hotstar on 9 November 2020. It is a remake of the Tamil movie Muni 2: Kanchana.
