A drifting gunslinger-for-hire finds himself in the middle of an ongoing war between the Irish and Italian mafia in a Prohibition era ghost town. Last Man Standing is a 1996 American English-language Action Crime motion picture featuring Bruce Willis, Christopher Walken, Alexandra Powers, David Patrick Kelly, Karina Lombard, Bruce Dern and Jaime Méndez. The movie is based on Yojimbo by Ry z Kikushima Akira Kurosawa. Eclipse Catering in association with Lone Wolf and New Line Cinema. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Walter Hill and Arthur M. Sarkissian. Last Man Standing is written by Ryûzô Kikushima, Akira Kurosawa and Walter Hill and it is directed by Walter Hill. New Line Cinema acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture. The film has a running time of 101 minutes. Last Man Standing was made on a budget of $67 million and at the box office it grossed only $47 million. The screenplay for the movie was written by Walter Hill. Cinematography was done by Lloyd Ahern and editing by Freeman A. Davies. The music was composed by Ry Cooder.
