A poor woman is falsely accused of causing her husbands death and, after being forced to leave her home and become a dancer in a red-light area, is put on trial for poisoning a man who shows interest in her daughter. Lakshmi is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language Drama movie featuring Raj Babbar, Reena Roy, Ranjeet, Ranjit Barot, Ezekiel Nadira, Danny Denzongpa and Shivraj. Roy Films was the production house involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Raja & Desai. Lakshmi is written by Faiz-salim and directed by B.s.thapa. Lakshmi was released on 11th August 1982 and takes a screen time of 134 min. Lakshmi was made on a budget of ₹4 crore and at the box office it grossed only ₹29 lakh. The screenplay for the movie was written by B.S.Thapa. Cinematography was done by Ramchandra and editing by K. Nanda. The music was composed by Usha Khanna.
