Labor Day

In 1987, single mother Adele and her son Henry take in an escaped convict named Frank, who they fall in love with and plan to escape to Canada with, but when Henrys friend manipulates him into revealing Franks dark past, the police arrive just as they are about to leave, leading Frank to surrender and protect Adele and Henry, and years later, they reunite when Frank contacts Henry to ask if he should see Adele again. Labor Day is a 2014 American English-language Drama Romance motion picture starring Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin, Gattlin Griffith, Tobey Maguire, Tom Lipinski, Maika Monroe and Devin Phelan. The movie is based on Labor Day by Joyce Maynard. Indian Paintbrush in association with Right of Way and Mr. Mudd. were the production houses involved in the project along with executive producer(s) Helen Estabrook, Lianne Halfon, Russell Smith and Jason Reitman. Labor Day is written by Jason Reitman and Joyce Maynard and it is directed by Jason Reitman. Paramount Pictures acquired the distribution rights for the motion picture.
